How we handle data

What we publish for machines

A page that's open to search engines carries a small block of structured data with the business name, address, phone, website and map location. Shared links show a preview with the business name, category and address. We list the pages open to search engines in our sitemap. Nothing an owner adds to a full page, like a description, photos, specials, hours or answers, is ever published in machine-readable form. It appears only as text and images on the page itself. We don't offer a public data feed or API.

Who can read our pages

Our public pages are open to search engines and to AI assistants that look things up for people. Private pages, like sign-in, accounts and owner tools, ask every crawler to stay out.

What we ask of others

Our Terms of Use don't allow scraping, crawling or copying our listings or content in bulk without our written permission. If you'd like to use our data, ask us first.

What owners add

Owners keep the rights to what they add to their pages. Our Terms of Use explain the permission they give us to show it.
